Wes Harmon, one of the most inventive Wisconsin chefs working today, is as renowned for his well honed culinary skills as he is for his ability to establish a restaurant that's both relaxed yet exciting. Good food coupled with a memorable social experience has always been Harmons focus and ultimate goal, and if the reputation of his restaurants are any indication, he has certainly succeeded.

In 2010, he opened The Brick in Lake Tomahawk, which quickly became a destination restaurant known for its innovative, and compelling cuisine. The restaurant features Wes'  French and Cajun influenced contemporary American style cooking presented in a classically stylish space, designed by his lovely wife of 28 years Tracy, or otherwise known as our hugging hostess. With exceptionally high personal standards, Wes and Tracy, by a genuine collaboration, have assembled a team with equally high standards and expertise.

Wes, Tracy and the entire staff of The Brick welcome you to experience our inventive dishes, attentive service, and stylish atmosphere with seating available in a charming interior setting and attractively classic bar. And remember, at The Brick: you're always in good company with family and friends.

Twenty years of extensive traveling and training all over the Continental United States, persuaded Wes, a native of Wisconsin, to move to the Lake Tomahawk area, where he became the Executive Chef of the Cove.  After three years of increasing acclamation,  Wes met the extremely successful entrepreneur and restaurateur Jerry Solem who entrusted him with the oversight of Ellas, Lakeside, and Solems Supper Club. Together, they created three of the most rewarding and prominent dining establishments in the area. In 2004, Wes branched off to The Thirsty Whale, who along with owner Deanne Kidd, instrumented an entirely new and electrifying menu which earned The Thirsty Whale the highest respect in the downtown neighborhood. Three years later he launched his first restaurant, The Rusty Putter of Minocqua, Wisconsin, which resulted in enormous acclaim and a loyal clientele. The Brick has now brought it's culinary evolution to beautiful downtown Rhinelander. Come and see what we're all about!
